KISSIMMEE, FL – Mr. Glenn H. Smith, “Smitty”, 66, of Kissimmee, FL, a native of our area here in Ilion/Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at his home, following a brief illness. He has resided in Florida for the past 24 years. He was born on August 28, 1953, in Ilion, New York, a son of Harold and Helen (LaRouche) Smith of Frankfort, New York. He was a graduate of Frankfort-Schuyler High School. Glenn retired from the City Public Works Department, of Kissimmee FL. Glenn was predeceased by his loving partner of 34 years, Carol A. Hysack, a Little Falls native, on June 4, 2014. He was also predeceased by his mother-in-law, Gertrude C. Hysack, on August 16, 2016; and sister- in-law, Ellen M. Hysack, on August 19, 1999. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Helen of Frankfort, NY; his siblings, Diane (Tom) Madaras, of Cassville, NY, Jeff (Deborah) Smith, of East Frankfort, NY, John (Jennifer) Smith, of Temecula, CA and Lynn (Tom) Hocking, of Frankfort NY; as well as brothers-in-law, Frank C. Hysack, Jr. and his wife, Peggy, of Mohawk, NY, Robert Hysack, of Fairfield, NY, David (Stash) Hysack and Carrie, of Dolgeville, NY, James (Whitey) Hysack, of Fairfield, NY and Kevin Hysack and Jonathon Freeman of Herkimer, NY; his sisters-in-law, Mary Perrone, of Millinocket, ME and Barbara Ostasz and Ed, of East Herkimer, NY; special aunt and uncle, Dick and Shirley Frederick, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
