Obituary of Anna M. Perkowski

HERKIMER – At the time of her passing in the comfort of her home, Mrs. Anna M. On November 6, 2015 at the age of 97, Anna joined her beloved husband Eugene in God’s glory in heaven. She was born December 17, 1917 in St. Paul, Minnesota, a daughter to the late Benedict and Agnes (Podsidlo) Danielczuk. When she was a child, her family returned to her native country, and she lived and was educated in Rzeszow, Poland. She moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1939. On November 25, 1948 Anna was united in marriage with Dr. Eugene W. Perkowski at St. Michael’s Church, Bridgeport, a loving and devoted union of 62 years. Dr. Perkowski passed away April 29, 2011. Anna had many friends and special times. She taught Religious Education at St. Paul and St. Ann’s Church in Whitesboro and enjoyed teaching children the Polish tradition of making the Easter Butter Lambs. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the Rosary daily. Anna also sent articles to the editor of the Observer Dispatch, sharing her thoughts and faith. Anna truly blessed the lives and faith of all that knew her. She was a communicant of the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph, and was a member of the Rosary Society of the Church. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, Utica as well as the Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, of St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church, Utica. Anna participated faithfully with the prayer group of Christ the King Shrine in Marcy.
