ST. JOHNSVILLE - Miss Linda Ann Waters, 72, of Binghamton and formerly of St. Johnsville, NY, died on October 22, 2015 following a brief illness. She was born in Troy, NY, in August,1943, the daughter of Lloyd and Dorothy (Nevins) Waters. She moved to St. Johnsville, NY, with her family during World War II, when her father joined the Army. For many years she participated at the sheltered workshop at Liberty Enterprises (ARC) in Amsterdam, NY, while living with her mother, brother, and maternal grandparents Raymond and Elsie Walts of St. Johnsville. Her mother was a very compassionate parent, and dedicated a great deal of her life to Linda. After her mother and grandparents passed on, Linda’s brother John (Jack) and Jane Waters relocated from Seattle and graciously took over responsibility for Linda’s care and wellbeing. In time she moved into a residential group home in Binghamton, to be close to Jack and Jane. Linda is survived by a brother, John Waters of Rensselaer, NY, a brother Hector Allen and his wife Shirley of Oppenheim, NY, nieces Mary Beth Jones of Apalachin, NY, Suzanne Bladek of Little Falls, NY, Celia Williams of Merritt Island, Florida, and a nephew, John Hector Allen of San Antonio, Texas. She was predeceased by her grandparents, her father, her mother in 2001, and a sister-in-law, Jane Waters, in 2015. Funeral Arrangements were made by Fischer-Scholder in Binghamton, and locally entrusted to The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY. Burial, and a family service, was held at the Ft. Plain Cemetery on October 29, 2015.
