To the family of Ron,
Bless you all for your loss is great indeed. I worked with Ron at The Telegram he was a riot. If I had a dollar for every time I heard Beth or Carol say " Oh Ron" I could have retired myself. He always brought a smile (and a blush) to everyone's face.He had no filter and you couldn't help but to love and respect him. Except when I brought my young daughters in, he then became a big teddy bear. My family went to the Holly Days Auction whenever we could because it was a great cause and Ron was at his best that day. I introduced him to a friend by saying "He was a Marine too Ron." His reply in a very stern voice...."He is a Marine too." Heaven just got a lot more fun. God grant him peace and thank you for sharing. Once a Marine, Always a Marine Ron.

I had the pleasure of working with Ron for several years at the Evening Telegram. As a fellow department head leading our teams, my department Advertising and his Circulation, our offices were on the first floor. What an incredible individual Ron was, an amazing man with an incredible compassion for the children making sure they all had a very Merry Christmas.
This valley will never be the same with not seeing Ron during the holiday season at the many different stores.
It was a privilege to have known this man, from the times he chased me while serving as an Ilion Police Officer, to the times my children were carriers for the evening telegram. To the times serving with him at the MARINE CORPS League. If it wasn't for Ron and his brother Don there would of been NO MARINE CORPS League or Veterans Appreciation Day.
