DOLGEVILLE: Mrs. FloraDell Hunt 92, of North Helmer Ave passed away on Thursday March 31, 2016 with the love and support of her family at her side. FloraDell was born on March 2, 1924 in Waycross, GA to the late James and Leona (Thrift) Dixon. Upon leaving school FloraDell met and fell in love with Charles W. Hunt. They were married on September 11, 1946. They shared a blessed union of 53 years together until his passing in 2000. FloraDell was last employed as a Sample Maker for Gehring Tricot in Dolgeville retiring after 25 years of service. During her free time FloraDell could be seen sitting on her front porch watching the numerous parades of Dolgeville, bowling, and crocheting scrubbies. FloraDell spoke fondly of her 90th Birthday motorcycle ride, but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family. FloraDell was a member of the Auskerada Chapter 204 of the Eastern Star, and the Oppenheim Senior Citizens. Surviving FloraDell include her children Janice Fouse, Charles and Kathy Hunt, all of Dolgeville, Marsha Pierce of Jacksonville, FL, and Judy & Richard Link of Dolgeville. FloraDell is also survived by her 15 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and many Great Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind a sister Vernell Sweat of Georgia. She was predeceased by her son Gene, 2 Grandsons, 1 Great Granddaughter, 3 Brothers, and 3 Sisters.
