LITTLE FALLS-Jane Marie Muller, formerly of Little Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Schervier Nursing Care Center, in Riverdale, NY, surrounded by her family. Jane was born on August 25, 1924 in Albany, NY to her late parents J. Earle and Katherine (Maxwell) McCarthy. She was raised and educated in Little Falls, NY, a graduate of Saint Mary’s Academy, Little Falls Class of 1942. Jane was married to the late Edwin A. Muller in 1947. They settled in New Hartford, NY where they raised their family. Jane was employed by Doyle Knower Co. Inc. in Utica and New Hartford for 21 years. After retiring she returned to her hometown of Little Falls where she worked part-time for McLaughlin’s and The Champagne Taste, and volunteered at the Little Falls Historical Society. Jane loved spending time with her family and visiting with friends. She was a great singer and had a terrific sense of humor. She enjoyed her work in clothing retail, and was passionate about fashion. She was a wonderful, devoted mother. Her greatest love was her faith. She was a member of Holy Family Parish Church, and a Eucharist minister in Little Falls. She is survived by her sons E. Andrew Muller and his wife Beverly, Esperance, NY; Thomas B. Muller and his wife Diane, Rochester, NY; her daughters Virginia M. Miller, Phoenix, AZ; Patricia J. and her husband John McCaffrey, Red Bank, NJ; Bernadette K. and her husband Mark Massi, Medina, OH; Melissa A. Muller, New York, NY; her brother John McCarthy and his wife Annmarie, Rockville, MD; her sister-in-laws Phyllis McCarthy, Little Falls, NY and Alice McCarthy, Toronto, Canada; her grandchildren Jennifer, Audrey, Matthew, Sandra, Shannon, Craig, Megan, Andrew and Rachael; her great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Timothy, Sarah, Benjamin, Eve, Jane, Alexa, Austin, Avery and Ashlyn. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin A. Muller, her brothers Walter J. and Joseph E. McCarthy and nephews David and William McCarthy. Our family would like to acknowledge the nurses, aids, doctors, priests and nuns, Jane’s extended family, at the Schervier Nursing Care Center who cared so greatly for her during the past seven years. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Jane’s visitation, which will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe St. Little Falls, NY, 315-823-2424. Jane’s Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 beginning at 10:15 AM from the chapel of the funeral home with prayer and at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish Church, 763 East Main Street, Little Falls, NY. The burial will take place in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Route 5, Town of Herkimer. Kindly consider contributions in Jane’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
