Obituary of Howard "Butch" J. Clark, Jr.

ILION – Howard “Butch” J. Clark, Jr., age 72, of Spring St., Ilion, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at home, after a long illness.

 

He was born on August 29, 1947, in Saranac Lake, NY, the son of Howard and Leona (Gowett) Clark and attended Frankfort schools.  He was married to Louise Bouton, on June 13, 1992, at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, Ilion.  Butch was employed as a Forman of the machine shop at Union Fork & Hoe Co., Frankfort, for 36 years, retiring in 2003.  He enjoyed fishing at St. Regis Pond and deer hunting.  He was also an avid New York Yankees Fan.  Butch also liked  to go camping with his family.

 

Surviving family members include his wife, Louise; his mother, Leona Clark, of Largo, FL; his sons, David Clark and his wife, Pam, of Ilion and Dennis Clark and his wife, Jill, of Mohawk; 5 grandchildren, Mitchell, Matthew, Nathan, Nicholas and Emily Clark; his sister, Edith Canaguier, of Harrisburg, PA; his brother, Dennis Clark, of Rochester, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

He was predeceased by his father, Howard; and his sister, Mary Clark.

 

In keeping with Butch’s wishes and instructions, there will be no scheduled calling hours or services.
