Obituary of Shirley S. Malavasic
LITTLE FALLS – Mrs. Shirley S. Malavasic, 91, of
She was born on September 9, 1928, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Anthony and Martha (Lukaseik) Szymanski, of Little Falls. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School and at one time worked with Greg Appliance in Herkimer. She was united in marriage with George Malavasic, on December 1, 1956 at St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls, with Father Reger officiating. George passed away August 6, 1999.
Shirley and George spent many dedicated days and evenings at the ice-skating rink in Little Falls, selling soda and just making for a fun-time for the local children. She was very community oriented within the City of
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Dr. Jolene Malavasic; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Richard Warren, of Little Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Chet Szymanski.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Herkimer County Meals on Wheels,
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at the Enea Family Funeral Home,
