Obituary of Irene E. Krasko

DOLGEVILLE – Mrs. Irene Elizabeth (Daily) Krasko, 97, of 238 County Highway 120, Dolgeville, New York, passed away on Saturday morning May 2, 2020. Irene was born in Trenton, New York, on January 2, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Irving and Livona Catherine (Ivey) Daily. She lived in the Remsen area until moving to Dolgeville, New York and Graduated with honors from Dolgeville Central School ‘Class of 1936’. Irene worked at Revere Copper and Brass during the war making wartime necessities for the military. She was married to Albert Krasko, on April 9, 1944, at a small chapel located at Rome Air Force Base. After the war, they moved to Little Falls, NY where Albert worked as a General Contractor and Irene was a stay at home mom, raising 4 children. When the youngest child was at a self-sufficient age, she chose to take employment, first at Bush Nursing Home, in Dolgeville, NY and then with the Daniel Green Company, in Dolgeville until her retirement. She enjoyed many summers at her second home in Caroga Lake and after retirement spent many winters in Florida. She was a member of many senior organizations in the area, holding offices in some. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Little Falls. Irene was predeceased by her husband of many years, Albert James Krasko, on May 2, 1998; her beautiful great-granddaughter, Mariah; as well as her siblings, Lincoln, Wilkin, Pauline Hastings and Katherine Corts. She is survived by her children: Robert (Karen), Thomas (Kathy), Daniel and her daughter Sharon; her grandchildren, Michael and Stacey Krasko, Victoria and Josh Long, Terumi and Wei Tan, Heather and Ron Wilson, Jon and Charith Krasko, Becky Krasko, Rachael Larson, Laurie and Lee Green, Brenda and Brian Riesel, Kelli and Brian O’Toole, and Tracey and Phillip Harvey; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Irene’s funeral services will be held this week under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, in Little Falls, New York. She will be buried next to her husband, in the Rural Park Cemetery, at Inghams Mills, New York. Irene’s arrangements have been handled by her family friends, Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E.
