ST. JOHNSVILLE - Mrs. Rita M. King, age 86, of St. Johnsville, passed away peacefully, on Sunday morning, August 2, 2020, at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, where she received tender loving care. Rita was born on September 26,1933, in Amsterdam, New York. Her marriage to Wayne B. King took place on February 20,1972, at the Fort Plain Methodist Church. The couple were married 43 years. Wayne passed away May 4, 2015. Rita worked at Helmont Mills, in St. Johnsville, for several years. Rita is survived by her children, John W. King and Elvis P. King. She also leaves behind her sister, Ruby Craver; and brother, Earl Swank; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her family, Betty J. King, Louise and Delbert Bateholts, Barbara P. Stowell and John Swank. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville, NY. Interment will then follow at St. Johnsville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. There will be a calling hour at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the funeral services.
