Obituary of Judith Amendolare

ILION – Judith “Judi” Amendolare, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, October 13, 2020, in the privacy and comfort of her home. Born on May 14, 1950, in Tacoma, Washington, Judith was the daughter of the late Arthur Clark and Robah Doreen (Robison) Goodwin. She was a graduate of W.F. West High School in Chehalis, WA with the Class of 1968. She then went on to further her education at Centralia College in Centralia, WA. On June 7, 1969, Judi was wed to Charles A. “Chuck” Amendolare, Sr. and together they shared in a marriage spanning over fifty years. They were blessed with three children, four grandsons, and a lifetime of happy memories. Chuck predeceased his beloved Judi, only ten months ago, on January 9, 2020; their family takes comfort in knowing that the two are once again reunited. Judi and Chuck built a home based around a love for family and friends; they had an open door policy and would do anything to help out a neighbor or a friend in need. Judi was loved by all who met her and not only raised her own children but was a “mother to all” of those who came into her home. With a quick sense of humor, a positive outlook and an unwavering strength, Judi was a role model for the generations that followed. She enjoyed cooking, camping and any time spent with her beloved family; times in which there was never a dull moment! In her free time she could be found reading, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting or watching some television series on the Sci-Fi or Discovery channels. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kari Sue and Richard LaPoint of Ilion; her sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck, Jr. and Anna King Amendolare of Odenton, MD and David and Leigh Wheeler Amendolare of Newport; her grandsons, Garrett, Ian and Liam Amendolare and Colton LaPoint; her sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Vaughn Feiss of Olympia, Washington; her in-laws, George J. Amendolare, Sr. of Herkimer and Ann D’Aiuto and husband, Ray of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friends, Jackie and Bob Sorenson, Julie Legrand and Joanne and Santo Falcone. Judi was also a huge animal lover who cared for many beloved pets through the years. She leaves behind her dog, Max and her cat, Lizzy, at home. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Barbara Amendolare. A special thank you is extended to MOVAC, the Ilion Fire Department and the Ilion Police Department for their response and assistance on the evening of Judi’s passing. Her family is very grateful for the compassion and professionalism shown to them. Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, (315) 894-8000.
