ILION – Claudette I. Marinelli, age 84, of East North Street, Ilion, New York, passed away at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, in the Town of New Hartford, on Friday morning, January 8, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. Claudette was born on September 18, 1936, in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of the late Raoul Joseph Brouillette and Marguerite (Sabourin) Brouillette. She had been a resident of our area, many years at London Towers, for about 25 years, spending time prior to that living with her sister Lily at Hunter Mountain. Claudette was a seamstress, a waitress and managed a food vendor business at Hunter Mountain through the years. She was of the Catholic faith. In her spare time, she tremendously enjoyed singing and dancing. The thoughts bring smiles to our faces! Claudette was also a food enthusiast. It was very interesting and delicious to her, particularly Chinese food! She absolutely loved to eat. Years ago, we remember her love of shopping as well. She spent so many wonderful moments with her family, especially going out to eat! She was an avid shuffleboard player and she just loved playing Bingo and going bowling. She dedicated her life to her family who will miss her and always cherish the memories. She leaves her devoted family: her daughter, Diane Brown, of Ilion; her sister, Muriel; and sister-in-law, Audrey. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Tony Marinelli (Shannon), Michael Marinelli, Jessica Brown (Joseph), Jennifer Angle (Austin) and Jonathon Brown; great- grandchildren, Brianna, Bella, Mallory, Sophia, Zery, Zaiden and Rory; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. Claudette was predeceased by her parents; her son, Anthony Marinelli; and her siblings, Celine, Gilles, Lilliane and John. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM, at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, in Ilion, New York (Town of Frankfort). A Catholic funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 2:00 PM, immediately upon the conclusion of visitation, with Deacon James Bower, officiating. If you plan to attend the calling hours or remembrance service, due to COVID 19, a face mask will be required. Thank you.
