LITTLE FALLS – Mrs. Jane E. “Jennie” Bednarski, age 97, a longtime resident of Little Falls, New York, passed away Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021, at Saratoga Hospital, Saratoga Springs, New York and her loving daughters have always been with her and there for her. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and hospital staff. Jennie was born on October 25, 1923, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Stasiak) Oleszak and attended schools there. Jennie was united in marriage to the love of her life of 52 years, Zigmunt “Ziggy” Bednarski, on November 10, 1945, at the Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church, of Little Falls, officiated by Rev. Edward Brozostowski. The family resided in the town of Stark for many years. The couple was longtime dedicated members of the church and Jennie served in the church choir with a beautiful voice, the Frederick Chopin Choir and was a member of the Polish Community Club. In Jennie’s own words, having her children and their families was the most wonderful thing to happen in her life. She never missed a chance to let her loved ones know this. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Big hugs to all! She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Buck, Patricia Flint (David) and Valerie Soderstrom (Mark); three grandchildren, Jennifer Morris (Rocky), Steffen Buck (Lindsay), and Karl Soderstrom; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Gregory Bednarski; son-in-law, Lee Buck; and siblings, Bernice Orcheski, Stella Mekody, Harry Oleszek, Stephen Oleszek, Walter Oleszek, & Stanley Oleszek. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, in Little Falls, New York, with Father Rafal Dadello, officiating. The family will arrive on Friday prior to the start of the funeral service at the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Jennie will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Ziggy and son, Gregory at HSPNC Parish Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, in the Spring of 2021. If you plan to attend the funeral service, due to Covid 19, a face mask will be required. Thank you.
