Obituary of James E. Schwerdt

FRANKFORT – Mr. James E. “Jim” Schwerdt, age 64, of Harter Ave in Frankfort, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, January 22, 2021 at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center. Born on August 1, 1956, James was the son of the late Paul and Marion (Bruso) Schwerdt. He was raised and educated locally and was a graduate of Frankfort-Schuyler High School. Many would remember Jim from his days as the owner and operator of the Lillie Pad bar on North Litchfield Street. At the end of the day, Jim enjoyed nothing more than a cold beer and a football game on television and was an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks. He was also a longtime member of the Frankfort American Legion. Jim is survived by his three children, Juli Biviano of Charlotte, North Carolina, James E. Schwerdt, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia and Richard Schwerdt of Frankfort; his siblings, William and Christine Schwerdt of Frankfort, David and Marybeth Schwerdt of Scriba, NY, Lynda and Jerry Ingraham of Albany and Paula and Dr. Scott Thomas of Keyser, West Virginia; along with several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In keeping with Jim’s wishes and under the current health situation of our community, the Schwerdt family will gather in a private ceremony to bid their farewells. Spring interment will take place in Oak View Cemetery in Frankfort.
