FRANKFORT-ILION – Peter “Pete” P. Allen, age 61, of Litchfield St., Frankfort, formerly of Ilion, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior, on Monday, February 15, 2021, at the Abraham House, Rome, with Sandy by his side. He was born on September 3, 1959, in East Meadow, NY, the son of Clifford George Allen, Sr. and Joan (Paschette) Allen and attended Ilion schools. On June 24, 1978, he was married to Sandra Lynne Panko, in Ilion. They spent 30 years together. Pete was a ceramic caster at Mohawk Valley Ceramic Supply, in Herkimer, for 20 years. He later worked in the Shipping and Receiving Dept. at the Walmart Distribution Center # 6041, in Sharon Springs, for 14 years. In his early years, he was active in local Bowling and Pool Leagues, winning many trophies. Peter was a simple man who loved his family greatly. He loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed Halloween and dressing up with his grandchildren, family and friends. Pete had a passion for his music. Most times you knew he had arrived home or at his destination because you could hear him coming with his music cranked up. There will be a link missing in the family chain until we meet again. Surviving family members include his son, Bradley Allen and his fiancée, Amanda, of E. Herkimer; his daughter, Billie-Jo Snyder, of Ilion; mother of his children/close friend, Sandra Allen, of Mohawk; his grandchildren, Noah and Hailey Allen and Nathan Snyder; his 4 brothers, Clifford George Allen, Jr., of State of Washington, Michael Allen, John Allen and his wife, Pat and Scott Allen, all of Ilion; his adopted brother, Steve Allen and his wife, April, of Ilion; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his mother-in-law, Jane Hymas. In keeping with Pete’s wishes, there will be no scheduled services at this time.
