Obituary of Argie M. Viskup

LITTLE FALLS – Mrs. Argie M. Viskup, age 100, who resided on East Monroe Street, in Little Falls, New York for many years, passed away with her loving family at her side on Thursday morning, February 25, 2021. She was born on July 31, 1920, in Vittorito, Italy, a daughter of the late Dominick and Adelina (Giannangeli) DiGiambattista. Her marriage to Paul Viskup took place on April 26, 1947, at St. Joseph’s Church in Little Falls. Her beloved husband passed away in 1996. Argie worked at Little Frocks Dress Shop, Little Falls, and was also a beautician. She was a devoted member of the Holy Family Parish Church, having been a longtime member of the Rosary Society. She carried memberships with the Rock City Senior Citizens and the AARP. Argie loved her home, her front porch was where she would sit, always inviting to her friends and neighbors. She was simply put a wonderful woman, well loved who touched the hearts of many. She is survived by her sister, Angela Richards, of Van Hornesville; sister-in-law, Marie DiGiambattista; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Clemente “Enzo” DiGiambattista; and brother-in-law, Vance “Jim” Richards. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Streets, in Little Falls, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Brian Slezak, Pastor. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. A calling hour will be held at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY, on Thursday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 AM. If you plan to attend the calling hour or funeral services, a face mask will be required. Thank you. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Argie be considered to the Holy Family Parish Church, 763 E. Main Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. It is encouraged to mail those directly in. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice & Palliative Care, for their compassion.
