MOHAWK – Mr. Martin Lee Marineau, 67, of 13 S. Washington St., Mohawk, died unexpectedly, Friday, February 26, 2021, at his residence. He was born on August 4, 1953, in Little Falls, New York, the son of the late Claude and Jeanne (Stack) Marineau and graduated from Mohawk High School, ‘Class of 1972.’ He attended Herkimer County Community College. Marty was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Hannaford’s in Herkimer. He was a member of Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post #25. Marty was a huge Wisconsin Badger, New York Yankee (unless they played the Milwaukee Brewers!) and Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include his children: Melissa (Marineau) Meier and husband, Max Meier (son in law), Lindsay Marineau and Ashley Marineau; his sister, Claudette Johnson; his grandchildren: Mason Meier, Nolan Meier, and Isabelle Meier; and his nieces and nephews: Christa (Johnson) Bonville and Bryan Johnson. In keeping with Marty’s wishes there will be no formal services. The Marineau family has entrusted all arrangements to Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea and Martin L.
