Obituary of James Thomas Cramer

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA – Mr. James Thomas Cramer, age 79, currently of San Jose, California and formerly of Little Falls, New York, passed away unexpectedly on October 16, 2021. Born on November 18, 1941 in Little Falls, NY, James was the son of the late James Everett and Helen Marion (Gerzel) Cramer. Following his graduation from Little Falls High School in 1959, James continued his education at Clarkson University. It was there that he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1965, James was drafted into the United States Army and faithfully served his country during the Vietnam Era until his honorable discharge in 1968. James spent his early career in the Aerospace industry where he worked as a Chemical Engineer. Later he worked for various companies, lastly with the Siemens Corporation, from which he retired. In his youth and middle age, he spent his spare time traveling, skiing, and scuba diving. In his retirement he spent his much of his spare time gardening and was a member of the California Rare Fruit Growers. James is survived by his sister, Virginia J. Cramer and husband, Roger D. Jones of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and by his niece, Deborah Lee Harter of Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, infant twin siblings and by his nephew, James Allen Harter. James’ earthly remains will be returned home and buried in the family plot in Dolgeville Cemetery.
