HERKIMER – Mr. Walter Kalynycz, age 94, a lifelong Herkimer area resident, entered eternal rest, peacefully, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in the privacy of his home. He was born on June 6, 1927, in Herkimer, a son of the late John and Mary (Kurj) Kalynycz and was educated in Herkimer schools. He was a United States Navy Veteran and his last professional employment was with Herkimer Post Office, as a letter carrier, as well as Oak Hill Cemetery. Walter was a longtime member of the Herkimer Elks. He is survived by his beloved family. In keeping with the wishes of Walt there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
