Obituary of Diedre L. Carney

LITTLE FALLS – Diedre L. Carney, 59, of Little Falls, New York, passed away at home, with her loved ones at her side, on Thursday evening, December 9, 2021. She was born April 7, 1962, in Utica, New York, the daughter of Delbert L. and Willinette S. (Spatuzzi) Harris and attended and graduated from Whitesboro School. She was employed as a member service representative with GPO, Ilion, New York. Her marriage to Donald A. Carney took place July 19, 1989. Dee had a true love and devotion for her family and took great pride in gardening and the beauty of flowers. Survivors include her beloved family: her husband, Donald; her son, and daughter-in-law, Travis Carney and wife, Marissa, of Newport; her precious grandsons, Josiah and Lincoln; her mother, Willinette Harris, of Schuyler; her special sister, Kimberley J. Harris, of East Herkimer; an uncle, Anthony Spatuzzi, of Florida; and several cousins and in-laws. She was predeceased by her dear son, Shayne; her father, Delbert L. Harris; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Dolores Carney. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour at the Enea Family Funeral Home, at 24 West Monroe Street, in Little Falls, on Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM, as well as the Mass that follows at church. The Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 10:30 AM, from the funeral home, where prayer will be offered. We will then process to the church and at 11:00 AM, at Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main and John Streets, in Little Falls, her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Brian Slezak, Pastor. Interment will take place in the spring of 2022, at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls.
