Obituary of Kimberley A. Grippe
Kimberley Alice Grippe, age 69, of Frankfort, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. At the time of her passing she had her loving daughters by her side. Kim is now happily reunited in Heaven with her son, Christian, who predeceased her on August 6, 2004.
Kimberley was born on August 29, 1953, to the late Joseph and Mary Alice (Cobb) Grippe of Frankfort. Kim attended Frankfort schools and graduated with the Class of 1972. She worked in the nursing field for many years throughout the Mohawk Valley.
Kim has always had a big heart, a funny sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She was very passionate towards others and would do anything for anyone. Her most valued joy was and always will be her family; they meant everything to her.
Kim loved her birthdays and her singing will never be forgotten. She also enjoyed any holiday that brought her family together. Her smile will be carried with all who loved her for a lifetime.
Kim is survived by her loving partner, Roy Fuller, of Frankfort; her daughters, Kimberley Miller-Celi and her wife, Rebecca, of Ilion; Rochelle Celi of Herkimer; and Tiffany Carson and her husband, Terence, of Albany; her grandchildren, Thaddeus Jones, III, Terence Carson, II, Tayshaun Carson, Madison Celi, Dante Magog, Rain Magog, Logan Burns and Adrianna Burns.
Kim is also survived by her siblings, Gary Grippe and his wife, Sylvia, Jody Grippe and his wife, Mary Jean, her twin sister, Karen Rumrill and her husband, Garry, all of Frankfort, Wendy Button and her husband, John, of North Carolina, Crystal Reina and her husband, Rick, of Deerfield, Mary Grippe and Guy Scram of Herkimer, Brian Grippe and Julie Moe of Frankfort, and Bridget Foti and Steve Clute of Frankfort; and her aunt, Martha Cobb, of Frankfort. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and very special friends (you know who you are!)
Aside from her parents, and her son, Kim was predeceased by her brother, Jack Grippe, on April 30, 2018.
Deep appreciation and gratitude is extended to the staff at Bassett Medical Center for the excellent care and compassion shown to Kim and her family during this most difficult time.
