<p>Herkimer: Mrs. Mary C. Alexander, 84, of East Herkimer, passed away on September 23, 2010. Mrs. Alexander was born in Little Falls on June 16, 1926, a daughter of the late John and Stella (Kuncz) Bielejec. She was raised and educated in Little Falls and was a graduate of Little Falls High School, Class of 1944. She also attended the Syracuse Business Institute. Mary was married to Leo M. Alexander and together they raised their family in Herkimer. She and Leo shared a loving union of fifty years until his passing in 1996. She was an Executive Secretary at Remington Arms, Ilion, retiring in 1972. Mary was a member of the Polish Community Home Auxiliary, serving as both its secretary and treasurer. She loved to bowl and was an avid reader. Mrs. Alexander is survived by her son, John R. Alexander and his wife Dianne of Elmira; grandchildren, Carrie, Christin, Robb, Alex, and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Lauren; a daughter-in-law, Dr. Jane Hudson; sister-in-law, Sadie Alexander; a special nephew, Edward H. Bielejec, Jr. and his wife Diane; and a special friend, Helen Oliver. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her husband, Leo, a son, James M. Alexander, and six siblings predeceased Mary. Relatives and friends are invited to memorial calling hours on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 4-6 pm at Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer (866-1011). Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of floral offerings, kindly consider contributions in Mary's memory to the Frank J.
