Obituary of Carmen Biando

<p>FRANKFORT-Mrs. Carmen E. (Eseltine) Biando, 85, of Brockway Road, town of Frankfort, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday morning, April 8, 2011 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family members. She was born on Brandon, NY daughter of the late Clinton and Mary (Humiston) Eseltine and educated in Brushton schools. On September 25, 1954 she was united in Holy Matrimony with the love of her life, Peter Biando, in St. George's Catholic Church, Burk, NY; a 56-year union of love and dedication. Carmen was last employed as a seamstress with Joseph and Feiss of Utica and at one time employed with Joy Taylor in Mohawk. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. Mrs. Biando was a dedicated, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and always put the needs of her loved ones before those of her own. She loved flowers, gardening and taking care of her home. Mrs. Biando lived her life guided on virtues of loyalty and caring ways. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her devoted family; her husband, Peter at home; four children: Donald Biando of Herkimer, Debra Foster and husband Eldon of Frankfort, Leon Biando and wife Mary of Ontario, and James Biando of Manlius; a sister: Dorothy Ellsworth of Brushton; eleven cherished grandchildren: Peter, Michael, Regina, Ryan, Brandon, Jennifer, James, Daniel, Benjamin, Venita and Marty; four adored great grandchildren: Carmen, Mae Jean, Ariana, and Taylor; in laws: Betty Youngblood, Dorothy White, and Kenneth White; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother: Douglas Eseltine; by four sisters: Bella Bowles, Ethel Wells, Hildegrade Berry and Marion St. Mary; and by a beloved great grandson: Joshua Biando. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, town of Frankfort, (894-8000) on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. Her funeral will commence at 9:45 am on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 10:30 am from Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Church, Frankfort where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Very Rev. Anthony Barratt, pastor, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Calling hours will also be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. at the St. Mary Funeral Home, 276 E. Main St., Malone, NY 12953 (518) 483-1240. She will be laid to rest later in the spring in Stevens Cemetery, Skerry, NY. Kindly consider memorial offerings to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc; envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home. The family offers their sincere and deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice for the love and attention given to Carmen during this difficult time.
