<p>Minnie Lee Balderston went to her eternal rest on Friday, February 18, 2011. Minnie Lee, known as Johnnie by friends and family, was born in Glen Allen, Alabama on October 20, 1925 to John and Annie Manley. After graduating from Hubbertville High School, she went to work in Birmingham, Alabama where she met her husband of 54 years, Earl T. Balderston, who predeceased her on May 1, 1998. After World War II, they purchased their homestead outside of Salisbury Center, where they lived and raised their family. Minnie Lee is survived by her son Robert of Salisbury Center, daughter Patricia (John) Lemen of Arlington, Va., daughter Virginia (John ) Victor of Salisbury Center, grandsons Robert (Beth) Balderston, Thomas (Jill) Balderston, Matthew and Steve Victor of Salisbury, John C Lemen of Reston, VA and granddaughters Jennifer (Gary) Schwart of Falls Church, Va. and Debbie (Vladimir) Kichakov of Little Falls, NY. She is also survived by her only great granddaughter Christin Balderston of Salisbury Center and several nieces and nephews with whom she was very close and adored by and her "adopted grandson" David Van Olst. Minnie was also predeceased by her grandson John Victor. There will be no calling hours. However, she had requested donations be made to either the S &amp; S Ambulance Corps, State Route 29A, Salisbury Ctr, NY 13454 or the Folts Foundation, 104 N Washington St, Herkimer, NY 13350-9982. A private memorial service will be held in the spring at the family's convenience. The family is being cared for by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe St., Little Falls. </p>
