ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mrs. Rose E. Colson, 86, of Mill Rd. entered into eternal rest on May 28, 2011 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born on August 31, 1924, daughter of the late John and Julia (Bucek) Stortecky. On May 5, 1951 she was united in marriage with Robert G. Colson. Their loving union lasted 53 years until his passing on January 25, 2005. Rose was the "Best Mom Ever". She will be greatly missed by all, especially by her loving family and by her faithful dog Toby. She was a huge New York Met Fan and she enjoyed Bingo. Survivors include her son Robert E. Colson and his wife Arlene of Wallkill, NY ; her daughters: Carol Lynn Hansen and her husband James of Morrisville, NY and Patricia Patrick and her husband Richard of Dolgeville, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Eileen and her brother John Stortecky. In keeping with Rose's wishes there are no calling hours. Her interment will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family at West St. Johnsville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Robert.
