Obituary of Patrick H DiGeorgio

Mohawk-Patrick H. "Pat" DiGeorgio,48, of Mohawk, beloved husband of Barbara (Heston) DiGeorgio, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday evening, November 9, 2010. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded with the love and support of his family. Patrick was born on March 17, 1962 in Utica, a son of Charles and Margaret (Berrus) DiGeorgio. He was educated in Frankfort Schools and graduated with the Class of 1981. On November 17, 1990, he married Barbara Heston in Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk. Patrick was employed in the construction industry, and worked for J. Priore Construction in Utica. Patrick was an active member of the Laborers' Union Local 35. He was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Mohawk, and for 8 years was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 26. Patrick is survived by his loving family: his wife, Barbara; children: Nicole, Jeffrey, and Randy; his parents: Charles and Margaret DiGeorgio; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Patricia Heston; brothers and sisters: Michael, Charles Jr., Mark, Patricia, and Lorraine, along with their spouses and children. He is also survived by his in-laws: Bryan, Rusty, Keith, Tracey, and their spouses and children; and many extended family members and friends. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., town of Frankfort, 894-8000, on Friday, November 12, 2010 from 4-7 pm. Patrick's funeral will begin with prayer at the funeral home on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10:30 am, followed by his Funeral Mass, celebrated at 11 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, Main Street, Mohawk, by the Reverend Mark Cunningham, Sacramental Minister, assisted by Sister Mary Jo Tallman, Parish Life Director. His burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Patrick's family would like to thank MOVAC for the wonderful attention and kindness extended to them during this most difficult time. A memorial fund is being arranged to benefit the Eagle Scouts.
