Obituary of Rosa Dixon

<p>FRANKFORT-Mrs. Rosa E. (Koch) Dixon, 87, of Frankfort passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, Sept. 28, 2010 in the Heritage Home, Utica. She was born in Manhattan on June 25, 1923 daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Ferraro) Koch and educated in New York City schools. On June 8, 1946 she was joined in marriage with Thomas E. Dixon, Sr. in St. Pascal Baylon Church, St. Albans, NY. He passed away on October 14, 2006 after a blessed, devoted and loving union of 60 years. Rosa was last employed with Social Services of Suffolk County (Long Island), retiring after over 20 years of dedicated service. She was of the Catholic faith and formerly a member of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens of Frankfort and attended Frankfort's Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Survivors include her loving family; her son, Thomas E. Dixon, Jr., of Coram, NY; a daughter: Elizabeth Skrocki and husband James of Utica; a sister: Marilyn Koch of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a sister in law: Alta Koch of New Hampshire; two grandchildren: Maureen Dixon and Suzanne Kennedy and husband D.J.; two great grandchildren: Joseph Kennedy and Meghan Kennedy; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Margaret Bremner and Fred Koch. In respecting Mrs. Dixon's wishes cremation will take place under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., town of Frankfort, 894-8000. There are no public calling hours or funeral service. Kindly consider honoring her memory with a donation to the American Kidney Foundation; envelopes may be obtained at an Enea Family Funeral Home. The family is being cared for by director, Daniel J. Enea. The Dixon family extends its appreciation to the entire staff of the Heritage Home, Utica for their professional care and compassion. Also a special thank you to lifelong friends, Bob and Marge Stier of Florida for their friendship throughout the years. </p>
