<b>Visitations</b> <p>Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home (Herkimer) on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. </p> <b>Services</b> <p>Mrs. Evolo's funeral will commence at 9:15 am on Wed., Nov. 26, from the chapel of the funeral home and 10:00 am from Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St., Herkimer where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor.</p> <b>Cemetery</b> <p>Funeral procession will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer where she will be laid to rest with her husband.</p> <b>Obituary</b> <p>HERKIMER-Mrs. Edith (Cassella) Evolo, 93, of Dewey Ave., entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, November 23, 2008 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica with the love and support of her family by her side. She was born on October 1, 1915 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Frank and Rosina (Scalise) Cassella and educated in Herkimer schools. On July 22, 1939, she was united in marriage with Sam T. Evolo in St. Anthony's Church, Herkimer; a loving union of 41 years until the passing of Mr. Evolo on August 16, 1980. Edith was devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to taking care of her family and her home. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and being surrounded by her friends. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer. Survivors include her beloved family: her son: Michael Evolo and wife Dorothy of Whitesboro, two daughters: Dolores Pinto and husband Donald of Whitesboro, and RoseMary Evolo of Herkimer; her grandchildren: Michael and Melissa Evolo of Whitesboro, Gina Evolo of Garner, NC, Dr. Mary Ellen Evolo and husband Dr. Milton Hsu of New York, NY, Dr. Christina Langdon and husband Robert of Hoboken, NJ, Donald Pinto of Rome, Lisa Sherline and husband Alan of Utica, David and Jaime Pinto of Clifton Park; great grandchildren: Alexandria and Victoria Evolo, Hudson Evolo and Jessica and Jacob Pinto; many nieces, nephews and cousins; three in laws: James Gelose of New Hartford, Rose Evola of Rome and Jasper Evola of Hamburg, NY. She was preceded in death by four siblings: Ardina Casale, Eva Cassella, Nora Gelose and Mario Cassella.
