Eaton, 52, of John Street, Utica, formerly of Munnsville, died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. He was born on Feb. 28, 1955 in Oneida, the son of Herbert and Gertrude (Spooner) Eaton, and graduated from Stockbridge Valley Central School in 1973. Bob was a truck driver for the Town of Stockbridge and later for Warlock's Paving in Canastota. In his early years, he enjoyed snowmobiling and camping. He was most recently employed in the facilities department at the Rescue Mission of Utica. Bob loved the Rescue Mission and felt at home and comfortable and was thrilled to become a staff member. His life turned around spiritually at the Rescue Mission when he was baptized in August 2005. Bob was optimistic, upbeat, kind, gentle and faithful. Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, James and Sandra Eaton of Munnsville; one uncle, Robert Eaton of Canastota; one niece, Christine Hartle and her husband, Andy; two nephews, Douglas Eaton and his wife, Charlene and Richard Eaton and his fianc?e, Brandy; and several great-nieces, nephews, cousins and one great-great-niece. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2007, at the Seaburg Chapel of The Rescue Mission, 201 Rutger St., Utica. Burial will be in Stockbridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2007, from 9:30-10 a.m. prior to the service. All arrangements are entrusted to Applegate-Day &amp; Enea Family Funeral Home of Ilion. 895-7722. </p>
