Dear Tina, Morgan, and Brett: I am sorry that I am late on this message but I couldn't find the site. I can't imagine how you guys feel about losing your husband/father. Tom was a very fun, loving, supportive, smart, and caring man. He was a very nice assistant coach in softball and baseball. He helped everyone so much and he was a big influence on everyone around him. I know how you feel because I lost my cousin a couple of years ago. My hopes and prayers are with you and just remember that it always gets better! No matter how hard it may get, remember that your husband/father is watching over you from heaven above. As I was mowing the lawn today, I realized just how much I will miss the smile and wave that always came from Tom when I would see him across the street. He was the answer to the question "what is a good neighbor?" I will always remember how he and Martin would help me by snowblowing my driveway - and I think Tom enjoyed doing it secretly so I would be surprised. When I tried to at least buy some gas for his snowblower to repay his kindness, he refused. Smiling, he said "We're neighbors, Carol. This is what neighbors do." When my newest rescue dog ran off, Tom went after her and carried her back to me, smiling gently at me when I started crying with gratitude. He was a good neighbor, and I will always remember him as a kind and gentle man. Tina, you and your family are in my heart and my thoughts and my prayers.
