<p>HERKIMER-Michael P. "Mike" Foti, age 53 of 3039 State Route 28, Herkimer entered into eternal rest on Monday morning, August 9, 2010 in Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford following a courageous battle with cancer. At the time of his passing he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Herkimer on May 7, 1957, son of the late Patsy Foti and Phyllis (Grenier) Foti of Utica. Mike was educated in Herkimer schools. He was united in marriage with Judy Bathke in 2000 at their home in Herkimer; a union of 10 years. Mike was employed with Bill and Jan Bass and the Trivedi Construction Company of East Herkimer and was a self-employed construction worker for many years. He was of the Catholic faith. Michael loved to be in the presence of family and friends especially card games with his buddies: Bud, Louie, Ed, Dominick, Mike, Rob, and Lindsay. He was a great poker player, enjoyed trips to the casino and loved snowmobiling with his buddy R.D. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Judy of Herkimer; his mother and step-father: Phyllis Sfinas-Stone and husband John of Utica; two adored children: Kyle Foti and Courtney Foti of Herkimer; a brother: Robert Foti of San Diego and a sister: LouAnn Goodreau and husband Thomas of Reading, Pa.; many nieces and nephews including Chrissy and Lori who were very special to Mike; an aunt: Hilda Foti of Herkimer; many cousins including Joe who was close to Mike; also surviving are his many friends and his beloved canine companion, Chin Lynn. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 5-7 p.m at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., between Ilion and Frankfort (894-8000). A funeral service will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Memorial offerings in Mike's name can be made to the American Cancer Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. A special thank you is offered to the 6th floor staff at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford for their kindness and compassion, especially mentioning Laurie, John and Dr. Razia. Also, a heartfelt thank you to neighbors Larry and Barbara Daley for their friendship and concern. The Foti family is being cared for by funeral director, Daniel J. Enea. </p>
