<p>Mrs. Dorothy Karla Hodge 87 of 19 Slawson Street Dolgeville , died unexpectedly Thursday evening September 1, 2011 in St. Elizabeth's Medical center, Utica, after suffering an apparent heart attack earlier in the week. A lifelong resident, she was born in Dolgeville on November 24, 1923 the daughter of Leslie and Pearl (Seney) DeLun and was a graduate of Dolgeville high school. Her first marriage to Hugh Karla took place on November 17, 1946 in Dolgeville. Mr. Karla predeceased her on September 17, 1975. She then married Charles Hodge on November 5, 1977. He also predeceased her on November 1, 1989. Dorothy was employed by the former Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville, retiring several years ago. She was a member of the Dolgeville United Methodist Church, and the Oppenheim Senior Citizens. She also enjoyed traveling, throughout Europe, Hawaii, Mexico and the United States. She is survived by a son and his wife Ronald and Darlene Karla of Dolgeville, a daughter Sandra Barry of Herkimer, her grandchildren Michael J. Barry and Renee Rouillier of Mohawk, Leslie and Michael Titus of Rochester and Amanda Karla and her finance Mark Gulbranson of Whitesboro, her great grandchildren Evan Barry, Asha Titus and Kahlil Titus, her Step-grandchildren of the Gressler family Erin , Patrick ,Christopher and Charles. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 11 AM at the Roberts &amp; Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. The Rev Diane E. DiLuzio, Pastor of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dolgeville Cemetery. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Memorials in Dorothy's name may be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
