<>ST. JOHNSVILLE- Mr. Harold C. Hickey, 80, of Center St. entered into eternal rest on October 22, 2010 at Albany VA Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He was born on July 2, 1930 in Little Falls, son of the late Harold C. and Dorothy ( Hayes) Hickey. On July 6, 1957 he was united in marriage with Shirley A. Ouderkirk in St. Johnsville. Their loving union lasted 41 years until her assing on Setember 24, 1998. Harold served his country with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.He was a long time emloyee of Beech Nut in Canajoharie and retired from the comany. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Patrick's R.C. Church in St. Johnsville. Harold was a loving father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traing. He was a member of the Traers Association and also was a member of the St. Johnsville American Legion Post # 168. Survivors include his daughter Deborah Rouse and her husband Daniel of St. Johnsville; his sons: Wayne Hickey and his wife Connie of St. Johnsville, Jody Hickey of St. Johnsville and Mark Hickey of St. Johnsville; his grandchildren : Chasity, Brett, Heather, Kyle, Tara, Alec, Kassondra, Joshua, Julianna, Hunter, Kaylea, Carrie and Lucas; his 5 great grandchildren, his sister in law Janet Ouderkirk of Palatine Bridge, Mildred Chest of Gloversville , his brother in law Robert Ouderkirk and his wife Nancy of Fort Plain and his nieces, nehews and cousins. He was redeceased by his daughter Renee Orendorff, his brothers in law Clarence Ouderkirk and Morris Collins and his sister in law Beatrice Collins. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home , 9 Center St., St. Johnsville on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 4-7m. An American Legion service will take lace during calling hours at 4m. Mr. Hickey's funeral will commence at 1m on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from the chael of the funeral home where rayer will be offered by the Rev. Ken Swain. Procession will follow to West St. Johnsville Cemetery where he will be laid to rest alongside his wife . Military honors will be offered by the U.S. Navy and the St. Johnsville American Legion. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Harold's name be made to St. Johnsville American Legion Post #168. Enveloes will be available at the funeral home.<>
