<>SALISBURY CENTER- Margery Mae "Midge" Jeffalone, a resident of Valley Health Services, 690 German St., Herkimer, NY, assed from this life on February 11, 2011 in the same manner as she lived her life—quietly with dignity and atience. The daughter of George and Rose LeFleur Herring, she was born Setember 12, 1920 on a farm in the town of Danube. She soke fondly of memories of traveling in a horse drawn carriage. Midge graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1938 as Valedictorian of her class. She was a "Red Hatter" and a charter member of The Red Roses of The Mohawk Valley. She learned early on to be a hard worker and was continuously emloyed until her retirement in 1982. Midge is survived by two sisters: Geraldine and Marilyn June, one sister-in-law, Marguerite, and was redeceased by a brother, Ronald. She was also redeceased by a son-in-law and grandson: Douglas Harer, Sr. and Jr. She is survived by two daughters: Penni Harer and Peggy (Charles) Grant, three grandchildren: Laurie Didone of Syracuse, Rebecca (Brett) DeOrio of NC, Joshua (Erine) Grant of NC, and four great grandchildren: Matthew and Danielle Didone and Zachary and Madelyn Harer. Mom will be fondly remembered for her devotion to family and love of cooking and creating one of a kind dishes. She did not change the world, but the world was certainly a better lace for her having assed through. The family would like to thank the Valley Health Services for their comassion and care. The family is esecially grateful to the nurses and nurses aides on 2 East Extension, not only for the excellent care, but for the genuine "love" they showed to "Midgie". A rivate memorial will be held in the sring at the convenience of the family. The family is being cared for by their funeral director Brian A.
