ILION-WEST WINFIELD - Ronald "Ron" D. Jowett Jr., age 32, of 170 Willard Ave., West Winfield, NY, died Saturday, October 9, 2010, at home after a long illness, with his family by his side. He was born on July 7, 1978, in Ilion, the son of Ronald and Dale (Treen) Jowett and attended Mt. Markham School, West Winfield. Ron was a Gators fan and loved fishing, cooking and pickling. Survivors include his mother, Dale Nicodemus and her fiancée, Mike Watson, of West Winfield; his father, Ron Jowett, Sr., of Mohawk; maternal grandmother, Florence Treen, of West Winfield; paternal grandmother, Betty Neale, of Herkimer; paternal grandfather, Sidney Jowett, of Ilion; three sisters, Gwen Land and Brian, of Bridgewater, NY, Nicole Morgan and Nick of Herkimer, and Rebecca Jowett, of Mohawk; special aunts and uncles, Fred Treen, Dorothy and Charlie Ellsworth, Robert and Beth Treen, Kieth Treen, Beverly Davis, Virginia and D J Moylan and Tom and Carol Jowett; several other aunts, uncles and cousins; three nephews, Bradley, Dylan and Gage; one niece, Paige; and special friend, John Werczynski. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Fred Treen; and his uncle, Kevin Treen. Funeral Services will be held 2:30 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Interment will be in Cedarville Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday, October 14, 2010, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., prior to the funeral home service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Byrum and the Pediatric Cardiology Unit at Crouse-Irving Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
