DOLGEVILLE- Mr. Gerald J. Krott, 71, of State Rte 29, entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2011 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was born on July 11, 1939, in Allegany, NY, son of the late Loren and Bessie (Ethridge) Krott. In 1962 he was united in marriage with Cecelia Bifaro in Buffalo. He received a Bachelors Degree from Buffalo State University and a Masters Degree from the University of Mississippi. Gerald was a retired Science Teacher in the Dolgeville Central School District. He was a retired member and Past Treasurer of the Salisbury Fire Dept and a life member and Past President of the Salisbury Ridge Runners. He was also a member of the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club and of the Little Falls Elks. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and in his spare time he could be found gardening or enjoying his camp in Jerseyfield. Survivors include his devoted wife Cecelia; his loving daughters :Judith Krott of Old Monroe, MO and Patricia Warren of Salisbury; his loving son Loren Krott and his wife MaryBeth of Kennebunk, ME; his beloved grandchildren: 1st Lieutenant Sean Davies, Seth Warren, Brenton Krott and Shelby Warren; his dear sisters :Phyllis Snyder and her husband Douglas of Olean, NY and Donna Basili and her husband Vito of Salamanea,NY and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Loren Krott and his sister Lois Shelc. In keeping with Gerald's wishes there are no calling hours but his interment will take place in the spring at Dibble Tuttle Cemetery. The family is being cared for by the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 E. Faville Ave., Dolgeville, Brian Roberts director. The family requests that donations in Gerald's name be made to: S&S Ambulance, Salisbury Fire Dept or the Oneida/ Herkimer County Hospice Palliative Care.
