Obituary of Edmund Lynch

Mr. Edmund B. Lynch, 93, of Belden Corners Rd., Dolgeville entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2011 at Little Falls Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was born on March 19, 1917 in Little Falls, son of the late Bernard and Carrie (Glover) Lynch. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WW II.During this time he met and married Mary E. Pyle, his first wife and mother of their eight children.His working life began with dairy farming for several years, then he and his wife established Lynch Well Drilling in 1949. He had over a half century in the well drilling business and was well known for his expertise. He retired in 2001. Edmund is survived by: seven children: Thomas, Roger (Cheryl), Gregory (Janette), Tina, Brenda, Edmund, and Shawn (Denise) two stepchildren: Robert (Evelyn) Pierce and Joanne Pierce, fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was predeceased by his wife Edna Pierce Lynch, an infant daughter Tonya Jean, two grandchildren, Roger Lynch and Valerie Lynch Richard, his brother Joseph Lynch and his sister Dorothy Lynch Otto. Edmund was a kind, gentle, soft spoken, hard working man who loved his family very much. He enjoyed working, traveling, nature and had a love for animals. In keeping with Edmund's wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the Spring at the Rural Park Cemetery in Inghams Mills where military honors will be offered by the United States Army.
