<p>Mrs. Muriel J. Luther 87 of 41 East Spofford Avenue Dolgeville, died Thursday September 16, 2010 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica after a brief illness. She was born in Wales on December 21, 1922 the daughter of Thomas George Jones and Beatrice W. Watkins and came to this country with her family at an early age. She was a graduate of Dolgeville High School. Her marriage to Assemblyman Harold C. Luther took place on September 4, 1948 in the Presbyterian Church in Dolgeville. Assemblyman Luther predeceased her on May 15, 1973 while in office. Muriel was employed at one time by the former Daniel Green Company of Dolgeville. She was of the Presbyterian faith, and personally enjoyed her home and especially her grandchildren along with gardening and knitting. She was an avid Syracuse Fan following both football and basketball games on a weekly bases. She is survived by a son and his companion Gary C. Luther and Elaine Salek, a daughter and her husband Gail and Norman Mastromoro of Broadalbin, a Brother and his wife Ronald and Arlene Jones of Dolgeville, her grandchildren Harold and his wife Kristin Luther of Syracuse, Ryan and his wife Tiffany of Methuen, Mass., Bruce and his wife Kacy Mang of Little Falls and Corey Mang and his companion Celeste of Maryland, her great grandchildren Kyah Luther, Emelyn Luther and Logan Mang, a niece Cheryl Brockett and a nephew Tom Jones. A graveside services will be held Saturday September 18, 2010 at 11 AM at the Salisbury Rural Cemetery, Salisbury Center. Rev. Jon A. Noble, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Little Falls will officiate. There are No calling Hours. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Harold C. Luther Scholarship Fund at Herkimer County Community College 100 Reservoir Road Herkimer, NY 13350. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Roberts &amp; Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. </p>
