FRANKFORT - Jeffrey B. Leach, age 42, of Higby Rd., Frankfort, NY, died unexpectedly at work, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, in Rome, NY. He was born on January 25, 1968, in Ilion, the son of William F. and Marianne (Reider) Leach. Jeffrey was a graduate of Ilion High School in 1987 and St. John Fischer in Rochester, NY. He was employed with the Dept. of Defense as an Accounting Supervisor with DFAS, USAF, Rome, for over ten years. He attended Church of the Annunciation in Ilion, was a member of Adult Congenital Heart Assoc., Inc., and enjoyed cruises, cars, and tractors. Survivors include his mother, Marianne Leach and stepfather, Robert Anton, with whom he lived in Frankfort; his father, William Leach, of Depew, NY; one sister, Kimberly Leach and partner, Nikki Henry, of Cicero, NY; one brother, Aaron Leach of Atlanta, GA; his beloved support person, Kathy Tetoros, of Australia, (who suffers from the same congenital heart defect as Jeff did); also support persons and good friends, Tammy and Paul Tenerowicz; his seven beloved dogs, including his two favorites, Cameo and Mack; and his many, many friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Eugene and Evelyn Reider; and grandmother, Marjorie Leach. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Father Anthony M. Barratt, Pastor of Church of the Annunciation, officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Calling hours are on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 9:00 am to noon, prior to the funeral home service. The family wishes to thank Pediatric Cardiology of Syracuse, AMCARE Ambulance of Rome, Rome City Hospital, Crouse Hospital of Syracuse, and all his co-workers at DFAS, especially their staff nurse. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Adult Congenital Heart Assoc., Inc.
