FRANKFORT – Beatrice "Bea" A. Nicolette, age 79, of 111 East Ave., Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, NY. She was born on March 3, 1931, in Frankfort, the daughter of James J. and Josephine (LaMazzo) Nicolette, and attended Frankfort schools. At one time, Bea was employed at American Hardwall Co., Utica, and later in the dietary dept. at Folts Home in Herkimer. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. Survivors include her brother, James J. Nicolette, with whom she resided in Frankfort; her nieces, Sharon Conners and Husband, Matthew, of Herkimer, and Lissa Nicolette, of Van Nuys, Ca; her nephew, James J Nicolette, III, of Frankfort; several great-nieces and great-nephews; two great-great-nephews; and several aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Salvatore Nicolette, in 1990. Funeral services will be held 1:15 p.m., Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Famly Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, and 2 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Anthony Barratt, Pastor, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Calling hours are Wednesday, June 23, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to HOSPICE. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. The Nicolette family has entrusted all funeral and burial arrangements and supervision to their family friend and funeral director, Don Applegate.
