ILION - Anne (Hanretty) O'Connor, age 85, of 9 Park St., Ilion, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010, at Little Falls Hospital. She was born on July 27, 1925, in Frankfort, the daughter of John and Hannah (O'Mahoney) Hanretty and graduated from UFA. On September 21, 1946, she was married to Francis "Chant" T. O'Connor, at St. Francis de Sales Church, Utica. Survivors include her husband, Francis "Chant"; her daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Mitch Wellenstein, of Schuyler; her sons, Kevin O'Connor, of Clinton, Thomas O'Connor, of Chicago and Patrick O'Connor, of Ilion; two sisters, Betty Senter, of Albany and Ellen White, of New Hartford; two brothers, Bernard Hanretty, of New Hartford and Francis Hanretty, of Forestport; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sons, Michael, Brian and Daniel O'Connor, and two brothers, John and James Hanretty. Funeral Services will be held 9:15 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, and 10 a.m., at the Church of the Annunciation, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Anthony Barratt, Pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 22, 2010, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
