<b>Visitations</b> <p></p> <b>Services</b> <p></p> <b>Cemetery</b> <p></p> <b>Obituary</b> <p>Mrs. Olina (Fusco) Quinn, 72, of North Main Street, entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, February 25, 2007, peacefully in the comfort of her home. At the time of her passing she had the love and support of her husband Jack and sister Claudine at her side. She was born on September 24, 1934 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Salvatore and Angela (Cirelli) Fusco and graduated as valedictorian of the Herkimer High School, "Class of 1952". She furthered her education attending Albany State University and received a bachelor's degree in 1956. Her graduate work was completed at St. Lawrence University. A lifelong Herkimer resident, she was joined in marriage with John "Jack" Quinn on August 20, 1960 in St. Anthony's Church, Herkimer, with Father John Manion, officiating. The couple enjoyed a devoted union of 46 years. Olina was last employed with Herkimer Central School District where she was the business/computer teacher. She extended her concerned attitude and thoughtful assistance to each and every one of her students. Her strength of character and selflessness provided them with staunch and dependable support throughout the years and many owe a gratitude of thanks to her for what they have become today. A part of Olina will live forever with her students. She was also employed by Van Hornesville and Little Falls schools at one time and was a faithful communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer. Olina's foremost priority and primary concern in life was the happiness of her husband, her siblings, and her nieces and nephews. She was the gentle heart and the generous soul of her family, the core of its very existence. Her love for family was steadfast, loyal and unconditional. She possessed a kind and thoughtful nature and was a woman of many admirable qualities. She was known for her special talents with painting with oils and watercolors. She had a tremendous love for the outdoors and enjoyed golfing and skiing. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and playing bridge and held memberships with the Business Teachers Association and the Herkimer Garden Club. She will be sadly missed by her beloved family; her husband Jack; her brothers and sisters: Gregory Fusco and wife Olga of Herkimer, Adeline Lilli of Frankfort, Emma Lanza and husband Nicholas of Herkimer, Anthony "Pluto" Fusco and wife Josephine of Herkimer, and Legislator Claudine Grande of Herkimer; many adored nieces, nephews, and cousins who were like her own children; in laws: Theresa "Sissy" Fusco of Herkimer, James Quinn and wife Dolores of Kingston, Pat McMahon of Nebraska, and Clark Workman of Pittsburgh, Pa. She was predeceased by her siblings: Brady Trimboli, Leonard Fusco, Orlando Fusco, Arthur Fusco, and Marian Workman and by in laws: Fred Trimboli, Dominick Lilli, Dominick Grande and Mary Fusco. Mrs. Quinn was also predeceased by her father in law and mother in law: Dr. Charles A. and Ellen May Quinn. Two very special nephews also preceded her in death; they were Benjamin and Salvatore Fusco. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holleran &amp; Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 from 4-8 p.m. Olina's funeral will begin at 9:15 am on Wed., Feb. 28 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 10 am from Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, So. Main St., Herkimer, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. She will be laid to rest later in the spring in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. Memorial offerings may be considered to a charity of your choice.
