Obituary of Louise Servadio

HERKIMER: Louise M. Servadio, age 90, of Herkimer, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August, 16, 2011 at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare, New Hartford. At the time of her passing, she had the love and support of her daughters and son-in-law at her side. She was born on December 11, 1920, in Orleans Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Scanlon) Frechette. Louise has lived in Herkimer since the age of two and was educated in the Herkimer Schools. She was married on February 11, 1937 to Louis Servadio at St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer and Mr. Servadio passed away on May 22, 1998. At the time of his passing, they had shared over 62 years of marriage. Louise at one time had been employed by General Electric. She was a member of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church in Herkimer. She loved her family. Spoiling her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was what she did best. She enjoyed baking for them, especially Christmas cookies. She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Maury and Mary Lou Paestella and husband Mike of Herkimer; her grandchildren, Thomas and wife Ellen Maury, Louis Maury, David Maury and companion Amy Hendrick, Michael and wife Melissa Paestella and Maria (Paestella) and husband Ryan Cyr; great grandchildren, Thomas, Joseph, and Michael Maury; Brayden and Addison Cyr and Michael L. Paestella; sisters, Bernadette Orendorff and husband Gerald of Mohawk and Florida Ruffalo of Utica; in-laws, Dominick and Jeanne Servadio, Ralph and Mame Servadio, Anthony and Vinnie Servadio and Sam and Mary Servadio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Angelo Servadio; brothers, Hector, Mendoza, Octave, Rene, Leon, and Arson; sisters, Alma Lefebvre, Rosa Sassone, Lucille DePietro, Ida Parese and son-in-law, Thomas A. Maury. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220, N. Washington Street, Herkimer, NY (315)866-1011 and 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Anthony & Joseph Church, S. Main Street, Herkimer, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Thomas Lawless, Pastor. Procession will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, where Louise will be laid to rest. Calling hours will be held at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Herkimer, NY on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made in Louise's name to Herkimer County Meals on Wheels or Mass Intentions for Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Harry J. Enea.
