Obituary of Floyd Tebo

MOHAWK-Mr. Floyd E. Tebo, age 75, of Walnut Street, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, August 29, 2011 at Folts Homes, Herkimer. He was born in Hopkinton, NY on March 2, 1936, son of the late Floyd and Marjorie (Farmer) Tebo and educated in the Parishville School District. He was married to his wife Virginia who preceded him in death in 2004. Mr. Tebo was a US Veteran having served with the Army from 1956 until 1959. Floyd was employed at the Mohawk Cemetery where he was a grounds keeper. He especially enjoyed the relationships he created with the many area funeral directors and people he came across working at the cemetery. He will be remembered as a quiet, gentle man, who was always there to help someone. Whether for a ride somewhere, or for just to listen, he was there with a smile. Survivors include his two sisters: Sandra Malbone and husband George of Potsdam and Lorraine Cumm and husband Robert of Florida; an aunt: Wanda Farmer of Mohawk; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother: Claude Tebo in 2007. In keeping with Floyd's wishes there will be no public services. Interment will take place alongside his wife at the Mohawk Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. His funeral arrangements are entrusted to Daniel J. Enea of the Enea Family Funeral Home.
