ILION-FLORIDA - Joyce A. Thibault, age 76, of Ilion and Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2011, with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 26, 1934, in Malone, NY, the daughter of Ulysse and Beatrice (Perry) Hungerford. Joyce graduated from Ilion High School and attended Rider College in New Jersey. She was married to Charles E. Thibault on June 4, 1955, at the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion. In her early years, she was employed at General Electric Co., Utica. Joyce was Secretary-Treasurer at Utica Valley Electric Co. for over twenty years retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion, NY and St. Thomas More Church, Sarasota, Florida. Joyce was a long time member of the Cedar Lake Club, TPC Prestancia Golf Club and was a past officer of the Gulfgate Library Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Charlie; her children, Larry Thibault and his wife, Terry, of Cedar Lake, NY, Kathy Buckley and her husband, Mike and Paul Thibault and his wife, Chris, all of Ilion; nine grandchildren, Donna Flescher and her husband, Nathan, Matt Thibault and his wife, Kacey, Stacey Thibault, Ashley Adams, Charlie Buckley, Rene Centolella, Cassie Thibault and Nicki Thibault; two great-granddaughters, Addyson Thibault and Zoey Buttenschon; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Jeanne Thibault, of Dallas Texas and Rosie Squire, of Ilion; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Judy DiBrango. Funeral services will be held 9:15 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, and 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation, Ilion, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Anthony Barratt, Pastor, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be at Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Calling hours are Friday, July 8, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion (between Ilion and Frankfort). The family would like to thank the nursing staffs in CCU and on the 6th. and 5th. floors at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Also a special thank you from the family to the many doctors who took care of Joyce during her recent illness. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Annunciation, 109 West Street, Ilion, NY 13357.
