He was born on May 12, 1950, in Czech Republic, son of the late Jiri Turjancik and Gizela Turjancikova. He was a self-employed contractor operating Turbo Construction in Mohawk and was married to his wife, Vera. Mr. Turjancik also helped out around the Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville. Survivors include his son: Marek Turjancik of Mohawk; two daughters, Lucie and Michaela Turjancikova, both of Czech Republic; a brother: Jiri Turjancik of Czech Republic; a sister, Nada Ctvetlerova; two grandchildren: Veronica and Sofie; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
