Ucasz, 86, a longtime resident of the town of Little Falls, passed away at his home Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003. He was born April 24, 1916, in Little Falls, son of the late George and Frances (Szaja) Ucasz. He was educated in Little Falls schools and had at one time attended country schools in this area. Ted joined in marriage with the former Nina Woroby on Jan. 4, 1942, at Sacred Heart Church in Little Falls. Nina passed away Nov. 15, 1999. Ted had been employed for many years with the New York State Thruway Authority at Indian Castle, where he had headed the maintenance department. He retired in 1981. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish. Survivors include his sister, Agnes "Jennie" Babrowicz of Mohawk; and in-laws, Ola Gudzy of Mohawk, Verna Woroby of Mohawk, Michael and Anna Murphy of Ballston Spa and Edward and Mary Woroby of St. Johnsville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Felix and Sigmund Ucasz. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 10:30 a.m. at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls and at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main and John streets, Little Falls, with the Rev. Charles R. Celeste, pastor, celebrating his Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday (this evening) from 4-7 p.m. Those wishing are asked to consider donations in memory of Ted to the American Heart Association.</p>
