Obituary of Irene H Yaniec

<b>Visitations</b> <p>Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday, August 3, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. </p> <b>Services</b> <p>The funeral will be held Tuesday morning, August 4, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street where prayer will be offered and at 11:00 AM from Holy Family Parish 763 E Main St, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. </p> <b>Cemetery</b> <p>She will be laid to rest in St Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer.</p> <b>Obituary</b> <p>LITTLE FALLS-Irene H. Yaniec, 83, a Little Falls native passed away unexpectedly at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon on July 27th, where she was visiting family. Irene was born in Little Falls, NY on December 31, 1925, daughter of Louis and Julia Koloski and was educated in Little Falls schools. In her early years Irene worked at the family business, Koloski's Market on Albany Street, where she met her future husband while making deliveries for her father. Irene married Stephen J. Yaniec on September 4, 1949 at Sacred Heart Church, the ceremony performed by the Rev. Joseph Batkiewicz, then pastor. Later, she also worked for the local phone company as a switchboard operator, Comstock Hardware and was last employed by Victory Markets. However, her lifelong passion was raising her three children and later doting on her nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Irene is survived by two sons, John Yaniec, wife, Joanne of Friendswood, Texas along with their four children Robert, Michael, Michelle and Stephen. David Yaniec, wife, Nancy of Pleasanton, California along with their two children Caitlin and Bryan. She is survived by one daughter Barbara Murphy, husband, Tom of Bend, Oregon along with their three children Sean, Ryan and Rebecca. One great-grandchild Madeline residing in England. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning, August 4, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street where prayer will be offered and at 11:00 AM from Holy Family Parish 763 E Main St, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. She will be laid to rest in St Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday, August 3, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. Irene will be missed by many, but will be remembered as a good friend, devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. </p>
