Obituary of Leda Yatarola

<b>Visitations</b> <p>Wednesday, May 6, 2009 5:00-8:00 pm </p> <b>Services</b> <p>Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 12:30 pm at the funeral home, with procession to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dolgeville, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm by the Reverend Leo Potvin.</p> <b>Cemetery</b> <p>St. Joseph's Cemetery Dolgeville</p> <b>Obituary</b> <p>Dolgeville: Leda Yatarola, 83, of Lamberson Street, Dolgeville, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at LaFayette Nursing &amp; Rehabilitation Center, in Fayetteville, Georgia. Mrs. Yatarola was born in Benevento, Italy on August 1, 1925, a daughter of the late Arthur and Nicoletta (Ventura) Romano. She attended school in Italy. She married Vincent Yatarola in 1945, also in Benevento, Italy. Mr. Yatarola passed away in 1957. Mrs. Yatarola spent most of her adult life in Dolgeville; however, she has lived in Georgia since May 2008. Mrs. Yatarola was employed at Daniel Green Shoe Company in Dolgeville. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a member of the choir, and also served as a volunteer in many different capacities at the church. She loved her church and her family. In addition to her volunteer work, she especially enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Yatarola is survived by her loving family: a son, Arthur Yatarola and his wife Judy of Virginia; a daughter, Sue Jantosciak and her husband Bruce of Georgia; grandchildren: Scott Yatarola, Kelly Devereese, Leslie Haberman and her husband Charles, and Jillian Jantosciak; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Emily, Joseph and Grace. She also leaves her sisters, Josephine Castracane and Liliana D'Arienzo and her husband Luigi of Italy; and her nieces and nephews: Rudy and Lois Yatarola and Leonard Yatarola, of Dolgeville; also several nieces and nephews in Italy. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters: Grace, Mary and Wanda. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, from 5-8 pm at Roberts &amp; Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 E. Faville Avenue, Dolgeville (315-429-3144). Her funeral will begin with prayer at the funeral home on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 12:30 pm, with procession to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dolgeville, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm by the Reverend Leo Potvin. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery immediately following the Mass. Memorial contributions in Leda's name may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 31 N.
