LITTLE FALLS - Sonia Lynn (Dygert) Zoeckler, age 36, of Dockey Rd., Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. She was born on December 25, 1974, in Ilion, the daughter of Alfred and Dianna (Bluett) Dygert, and graduated from Mohawk High School in 1994. Sonia was married to Scott Zoeckler on August 13, 1999, in Niagara Falls, NY. She had been a senior representative at American Lung Association for five years. Sonia loved outdoor activities and hunting with her father. She especially enjoyed taking care of her many cats. Survivors include her husband, Scott; her daughter, Azeria; her mother, Dianna Gannon and her husband, John, of Herkimer; her father, Alfred Dygert and his wife, Myra, of Town of German Flatts; maternal grandmother, Helen Bluett, of Ilion; paternal grandparents, Edward and Edna Dygert, of Jordanville; her brother , Alfred Dygert, of Little Falls; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter and Kimberly Massocco, of Herkimer, Patrick and Dana Zoeckler, of Georgia, Tricia and Gene Rogers, of Ilion, and Kevin Zoeckler, of Little Falls; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Danford Bluett; great-grandmother, Olive McGrade; and uncle, Doug Dygert. Funeral Services will be held 4 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Rev. Clint Carter, Pastor of Oneida Lake Congregational Church, officiating. Calling hours are Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., prior to the funeral home service. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Sonia's daughter, Azeria Zoeckler, c/o Scott Zoeckler, 209 Dockey Rd., Little Falls, NY 13365.
